like a phoenix rising from the ashes…

…my WordPress blog lives again!
I’m tired of maintaining two blogs, one work-related and one personal, so I’m going to slowly transfer over to my long-dormant WordPress blog.
I’ve already merged my del.icio.us bookmarks. A huge problem is that there is no easy way to import my Blogger beta blogs over to WordPress at this time … I’m hoping that problem will be solved soon (please, God).
So, Andy, you can start cheering now… I’ve come over from the dark side.

Why don’t you export your Blogger blog(s) as RSS and import from that? I think you can do that…
In the “another reason to hate blogger” category, there’s no export function over there.
There are some convoluted instructions for creating a backup copy of your blog, but I’m not comfortable enough to attempt it.
Ah right. Didn’t realise that Blogger beta was such a train wreck
I just had a look at the backup instructions, and I don’t think they are going to help either, since they don’t actually create a consumable RSS file. You’re right, they’re complicated.
I was rather impressed with my ability to export an old, old RSS file from an old, old copy of WP I was running on my home server, and then import it to WP.com (thus the fact that I have entries dating back to 2001!).
