the sounds of spring

The rain has finally stopped. It’s twilight and the air is totally still.

The sound of the swollen fairy stream in back is almost drowned out by the chorus of peepers. There must be hundreds of them out there now, all singing.

Every once in a while, a mourning dove coos.

Nice.
