we be hacking
Yup … it’s finally here … hackday|v5. First, a little about hackday:
So what is this hackday|v5? Sounds very technical to me.
Don’t be scared away by the name. It’s really just an excuse for all of us to get together and think and act on all our ideas we’ve tucked away. You don’t have to be a technical genius or a code junkie to participate. All you need to bring with you are your ideas (or even someone else’s ideas) and a willingness to do something about them.Think of it as an opportunity to take some time (a day: April 25th) along with everyone else (isn’t peer pressure great?) to turn your dormant and neglected ideas into something a little more tangible. Whether that means building a web application or designing a new user interface, coming up with a new logo or turning a loose thought into a ThinkPlace idea, that’s all up to you. You have the complete and utter freedom to express your contribution in whatever way you want. The “competition” aspect is simply there so that we have a nice central place to collect everyone’s submissions and allow people to browse, rate, comment and experience the results of HackDay.
Last time I checked, there were over 300 projects registered!!!
Over 300!!
w00t!
Now I’m going back to hacking … if I can get it working, it’ll kick major butt.
