How do you define “success” as blogger? Fame? Fortune? Traffic?

I just want to be cool enough to be on the receiving end of a Coraline box.

Coraline boxes are a genius bit of viral marketing for the Feb 6 release of the movie Coraline, a gorgeous bit of stop-motion animation based on the Neil Gaiman novel.

Apparently, there are 50 boxes, all unique, designed with the recipient’s interests in mind, and they are being sent as surprise packages to hand-picked bloggers all over the world.

Notcot is collecting images of the boxes as they pop up. You can see them here.

Quirky, inspired genius.

Want.

I sent a strong vibe toward that end. Thanks for the links.

I’ve got my eyes, tight shut & am wishing hard that you get one. I can’t think of a more deserving blogger. The whole thing just looks amazing.

Lol, I love the idea of ‘Coraline Box Worthy’ as a blogger success metric! (It’d work too, since I wish I was box worthy as well!)

This was definitely a unique way to market a film, and I hope other companies take note and start doing unique promotions for their films as well. (And not just because I want a cool box…)

They got it all right, didn’t they? Well, except for the part where WE didn’t get boxes. :-)
