    Hi, Kelly –

I’ll give you the short version here – if you’re interested (or can point me to someone else who might be), I can provide lots more information.

I’m president of the Boston Knowledge Management Forum, a community of interest of people involved with KM. Our next event (we run 28 a year of different types) is scheduled for 12/18, Monday, at Bentley College in Waltham. It’s on “Dark Blogs – Internal blogs for leveraging knowledge.” (www.kmforum.org – and navigate to the Bentley event page.)

One of our speakers just cancelled and I’m looking for someone to fill his spot. We have a vendor, a professor, and a Web 2.0 expert (Kathleen Gilroy – I’d guess you know her or of her). We need an honest to goodness internal blog user! I’ve surfed through your postings on the Net and believe you fit the bill! (I’ve put out feelers to five IBMers I now, but no one has gotten back to me yet.)

If you’re interested and available, let’s talk quickly. You can reach me at 781/674-1079. If I’m not there, just leave a message – I’ll be paged and will get back to you as soon as I can.

    Thanks.

    Larry Chait

I am a true and utter idiot. I just updated my email address to reflect reality. :-(

Re your quote about the monkey’s. The original premis does not state a timeframe so the comment that we now know this not to be true is either incorrect or at best, a tad early.
Give it another couple of thousand years and we should be well on the way to “to be or not a banana…”

I saw a comment about drinking in NYC with “the oh-so-dashing Peter Samardak” but couldnt find the entire entry. Where can I find it?

  6. 2007 April 20

Close, except the oh-so-dashing Peter Samardak was my Basic Blue instructor, not one of my drinking companions.

K: Might I suggest a quote attributed to Fred Astaire:

“When Cyd Charisse dances with you, you stay danced with.”

    She was an excellent dancer.

Hi, Kelly – Hope you’re having a great day! I am giving a presentation in a month that uses the diversity of food on grocery stores as an analogy for the diversity in our work/life today. I ran across your picture via google images and loved it. I would like to use a washed out version of the shelf shot in the background on one slide. I would be happy to send you a copy of the slide and attribute your work. (For example, Copyright DATE, Your Name, Used with permission of the copyright holder.) Please let me know if you are ok with this use and how would like the attribution to read. Regards, Julie 952-484-6461

    I’m honored. :-)

I’d love a copy of the slide. And as far as attributions, most of my photos are Creative Commons licensed, so as long as my name is mentioned somehow, I’m happy :-)

But it’s always nice to hear when someone finds a picture useful. Thanks!

    Kelly-

You have written about a TV commercial that impressed you before, stop me if you’ve seen this one –

It looks and sounds great on a 37″ LCD, hope you agree.

Bodie is nominated to star in the “Sunday Dog” feature on BostonZest.com. That is, if you will give permission and allow us to use your photos.

He and your photos are just great.

Naturally, we’ll link back to here.

Here’s a link to our past Sunday Dogs.
