a speaking engagement!

Wicked, wicked excited.

Larry Chait, president of the Boston KM Forum, has asked me to come to their next event at Bentley College on Dec 18 to speak (either individually or as part of a panel discussion) on the topic of “Dark Blogs – Internal Blogs for Leveraging Knowledge.”

Jeez, I don’t know … heaven knows I have nothing to say on the topic … NOT!

Two years ago, I would never have believed that I would be so thrilled to speak in front of a roomful of strangers. For that matter, who would have thought that a company as monolithic and old-school as IBM would be out there in the forefront of web 2.0 technology.

It just proves that if you really and truly believe in something and care about it deeply, there are no limits to what you can do.

I can’t wait to share all the good things happening on IBM’s Blog Central!

  1. Of course, Kelly’s intranet blog is so dark that it even gets scary, so no wonder that she’s been invited! 🙂

I’m really happy about this unplanned invite, both for you and for someone thinking that IBMers are a good choice for this “dark blog” thing.

  2. thanks, Xavier. Now just to clear it with The Powers That Be, although my glowing recommendation of power of internal blogging is hardly likely to reflect poorly on IBM.
