as we lived in iceland

Still working on perspective. It’s funny. With this, as with almost everything ELSE in my life, I’m totally self-taught. It’s probably a much slower way of learning things, but the “a-ha” moments make it all worthwhile:

Oh, wow … things are SMALLER the farther away they are. And darker.

YOU may already know this, but I feel like I’m learning something new every day. 🙂

  1. Some time back I spent a total of 6 days in Iceland, mostly in Reykjavik (sp?), and I really enjoyed it. I walked all over it. A civilised community and fascinating terrain. How long were you there? Years?
Everyone I spoke to was effortlessly bi-lingual (Icelandic and English – sometimes better than mine!).

  2. I’ve only ever done a layover in Iceland – when I took IcelandAir to Europe back in the ’70s for the Kellypuffs Grand Tour … a couple of months with a Eurail pass, a Youth Hostel card, and a backpack.

I’d love to give it a proper visit someday…
