Amazing stuff and so easy to make.
Place one sleeve of saltines in a single layer on a foil-lined cookie sheet.
In saucepan, heat 2 sticks of butter and 1 cup of sugar to rolling boil. Cook for 5 minutes then pour over saltines in cookie sheet. spread to cover completely.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 6 minutes.
Let cool 5-10 minutes. sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips over toffee. Place in turned off oven for a few minutes, or til chips are shiny (they won’t necessarily lose their shape. Remove from oven and spread melted chips over toffee.
Garnish as desired. (Nuts, sprinkles, etc).
When completely cool, break into pieces and store in air-tight tin.
Yeah. Like it’ll last that long.
