frankenstorm preparedness, kellypuffs style

With the weather reports sounding ever-more alarming, we headed out for our weekly errands with an unusual sense of urgency. Many sorts of dire possibilities await over the next few days, including the possibility of days without power.

We’ve been to this rodeo once or twice before. Most recently, there was the Halloween storm of just last year, featuring over 2 feet of snow, downed trees, days of no power. Perhaps this is the new Halloween in New England.

We even have a French Toast Alert. when a storm threatens, everyone needs to rush out and buy bread, milk, and eggs.

So let’s review our purchases today, shall we, and see what constitutes hurricane preparedness in the Kellypuffs household.

  • 2 almond croissants
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 limes
  • blueberries
  • blackberries
  • bananas
  • korma sauce
  • two-bite brownies
  • 4 cans tuna
  • 1 jar marinated artichokes
  • Ruffles potato chips
  • 1 really cool string of LED lights – purple bats
  • a houseplant
  • cat litter
  • paper plates

oh yeah, and ….

  • milk
  • bread

We are READY! 🙂

Edited: added the missing EN in frankenstorm in the title.
